La memoria ritrovata

The Civic Archaeological and City Museum of Savona will host the presentation of Paolo Giardelli’s book’ La memoria ritrovata’, with an introduction by Danilo Bruno readings by Lia Giribone

The presentation of the book, promoted by the Sabazia section of the International Institute of Ligurian Studies, illustrates the forty years of research activity on the mountains of the Ligurian hinterland by a famous anthropologist: Paolo Giardelli.
It is in fact an extensive survey conducted using the interview method on the living conditions of the mountain population of our territories in the face of the progressive change in social conditions and coastal urbanisation.
In particular, the Valbrevenna is the object of study, whose life and, above all, strong seasonal emigrations can be retraced.
